Factors that affect how much plant toxin is in the harvested plant include the Plant Variety + Environmental conditions. The amount of the toxin that is actually ingested depends on the Method of Food Preparation + Amount of food ingested . The amount of toxin actually ingested plus the effects of Other nutrients ingested and/or absorbed will determine the Amount of toxin available for absor ion in the gastrointestinal tract. The amount that is absorbed , the health status of the individual + Metabolism will determine the Amount reaching target organ(s) .
